Spring brings good fortune as we reach 240,000 members and £6.5bn in assets and celebrate a number of awards and recognition from afar.
Top personalities at the Trust have received accolades both home and abroad as not one, but two of our Board members were named as ‘Top 50 People in Pensions’ and one of our senior managers was nominated for a European award.
Last month, Chair, Sarah Smart and Board member Barry Parr were cited as influential people in the Pensions Insight’s annual who’s who of pensions alongside the likes of Ros Altman, Dame Anne Begg and Steve Webb.
Sarah has also been nominated for ‘Pensions Personality of the Year’ at the Professional Pensions UK Pensions Awards as well as ‘Independent Trustee of the Year’ at Engaged Investor Trustee Awards - the winner of which is voted by the readers of Engaged Investor.
Chief Investment Officer David Adkins was also nominated for Pensions Personality of the Year at the Investment & Pensions Europe Awards.
As if that wasn’t enough good news earlier this year we won ‘Pension Fund of the Year - UK’ at the 2015 International Fund Awards and the Trust has also been shortlisted for three more awards:
- Best Administration & Pension Scheme Innovation at Pensions Age Awards
- Best DB Investment Innovation at Professional Pensions UK Pensions Awards
