Joanna Matthews

Joanna is Chair of the Trustee Board at Verity Trustees Limited.
As a professional independent trustee and lawyer by training, she has extensive experience of chairing large and high-profile pension schemes. She is currently Chair of the Royal Mail Pension Plan, the Siemens Benefit Scheme, the Vodafone Group Pension Scheme and the Civil Aviation Authority Pension Scheme, and Deputy Chair of the NatWest Group Pension Scheme. She is also a member of Capital Cranfield.
Prior to moving into independent trusteeship 14 years ago, Joanna was a partner in a top pensions law practice. She brings a wealth of expertise in areas including funding and investment strategy and regulatory and stakeholder engagement.
