'Day in the Life' of a Senior Client Relations Manager at TPT

  • What a typical day might look like:

    • Leading a meeting of one of our multi-employer scheme employer committees, bringing in any specialists needed from around the business;
    • Overseeing the onboarding of new trustee clients, to ensure they receive a high-quality client relationship service from their first day with us;
    • Working on trustee governance reporting material, with the support of our award-winning communications team;
    • Presenting as part of a pitch team to a potential new trustee client, alongside our new business team and other specialists from around the business;
    • Working with less experienced CRMs to build their skills in managing client relationships and acting as a source of expertise on technical issues.
  • What it definitely won’t look like:

    • Having to meet targets for chargeable hours despite having more important tasks to focus on
    • Filling out timesheets
    • Dealing with member service complaints – our role is strictly to focus on building rewarding relationships with scheme sponsors, leaving our award-winning administration service to support scheme members.

The role

We’re recruiting a Senior Client Relations Manager who can provide high-quality pension relationship management to the sponsoring employers and employer committees of TPT’s pension schemes. The role would also include supporting new business opportunities and leading the client relationship service to new trustee clients of TPT.  

The Senior Client Relations Manager will need to have a good working knowledge of pension scheme management, including knowledge of investment strategy and actuarial principles, together with a strong understanding of legislative issues affecting pension schemes. Excellent presentation skills are essential. 

This role will also support the Head of Client Relations in developing Client Relations Managers and Assistant Managers on technical and current issues.
