From 1 October 2019, there will be two Employer-Nominated and one Member-Nominated Director vacancies on TPT’s Trustee Board.
As part of a nine-strong team, the successful applicants will act as guardians of TPT’s assets, acting impartially in the interests of our members and ensuring that member and employer views are properly represented at Trustee Board level. You’ll be playing an active part in shaping our exciting future, and helping to ensure that we deliver good member outcomes.
If you’re looking to make a difference or learn new skills, being a trustee could be the opportunity for you. You’ll need to put the time in (around 20 days per year), but it will be extremely rewarding.
Why should I apply?
This role can provide individuals with the opportunity to develop their skills and expand their knowledge and understanding of pension scheme funding and investment.
There is no ‘typical’ trustee; nominations are positively encouraged from all sectors, personnel and backgrounds to complement a diverse team that represents TPT’s broad base of members and employers.
Whilst all business skills are welcome, TPT particularly needs Directors with experience of DC pension arrangements, oversight of DB scheme funding and investment risk, audit skills and knowledge and experience of monitoring the operations of a financially complex organisation.
How does the process work?
All of TPT’s members and employers are invited to nominate candidates. Nominees will be required to submit an application form to the appointment panel and candidates who meet the job specification will be invited to an interview.
